Hi
I am a new member to this list and this seemed like a good time to jump in. Researching Walker, McLean, Robinson from Dickson Co Tn. Most of them moved westward in the early 1830's settling in Macoupin Co TN [IL].
Interesting [interested] in finding any families related still in TN. GGGG Grandmother Elizabeth Walker in Dickson Co early 1800's with several children.
GGG Grandfather Jacob Walker married to Agnes McLean in Dickson Co, his brother, Archelaus Walker married to Susan Robinson not sure where exactly.
Jacob and Agnes McLean Walker children born in TN as follows: Phillip 1812, John M 1814, James H 1818, Archelaus C 1820 (KY or TN), GG Grandfather Jacob 1822 Dickson TN, Mary M 1824, Joseph 1826, several others all born in Illinois. Any help is appreciated.

Notes |
- Obit of daughter Agnes (Gillespie Illinois News, 1932) states that she has a sister living in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Jane Clark.
Daughter "Annie" married Robert Hill [15]
Daughter Ida May (Walker) Senteney's 1946 Coles County death certificate states that her parents were "John Walker" and "Harriet Finch." [11]
Evidence that "John M. Walker" found in 1850 Macoupin Co census married to "Danah" (sometimes incorectly transcribed as "Darrah") is the same man as "John Mc Walker" found in 1860 Macoupin Co census married to Harriet.
- Both the 1850 and the 1860 John were located in Twp 7, Rg 7
- Both families were surrounded by Sawyer families
- Record of "John M. C. Walker" marriage to Dinah Moore in Madison Co (neighboring), 1838
- The John Walker married to Harriet in the 1860 census was enumerated as "John Mc Walker"
Although none of the 1850 children appear in the 1860 home, it is clear the John M. Walker of one is the John Mc Walker of the other.
