  • Notes
    • Could the Samuel A. Walker, b abt 1780-1790, found in the 1830 Madison Co IL census, with a female, aged 50-60, be the son of this Samuel Walker? In the 1820 Madison Co IL census, Samuel Walker, over 45, is found with hisapparent wife, over 45. They had 5 children under the age of 10, so it is likely that they were close to 45.

      Samuel A. Walker household
      1 male 10-15
      1 male 20-30 [ Phillip V. Walker?]
      «b»1 male 40-50 [Samuel A. Walker]
      «/b»1 female under 5
      2 females 5-10
      1 female 20-30
      1 female 60-70

The older woman in Samuel A. Walker's 1830 Madison Co household is 60-70, probably too old to have borne 5 children between 1810 and 1820, as in the 1820 Samuel Walker census. Samuel himself is 40-50. Also, iif Samuel A. Walker was the child of the 1820 Samuel and wife, he was not in their home in 1820, as the only males were under 10.

Could Samuel A. Walker's age have been recorded wrong in the 1830 census, or the previous census? Are these two entirely different Walker families? Do either of them have a relationship with our Walker line? Possibly the elder Samuel was a brother to our Walker progenitor? An older brother to Arch? Child of a first marriage?
