• Notes

  The 1911 obituary/death notice of Louisa (Page) Walker stated that she had a daughter "Mrs. R. C. Nelson" of Colfax--presumably Colfax in nearby Placer County, California. The 1923 obituary/death notice of Aaron Walker named known siblings, plus a sister, "Bella Bliss" of North Fork--presumably North Fork, Madera County, California. A Bella Bliss is found in 1920 census with husband Mose Bliss. This Bella Bliss was born about 1882 in California. It seems unlikely that William and Louisa (Page) Walker would have had a child born in California in 1882, since they had known daughter Gertrude about 1883 in Illinois; and known sons George and Aaron in 1884 and 1887, respectively, both in Indian Territory (present-day Oklahoma). No R. C. Nelson has been located in the 1910 Placer County census. No California marriage record has been located for Bella Walker or Bella Nelson.
