    MORROW? Judge Findley H. Morrow, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1937, died Monday, October 31, 1994, of an acute respiratory illness. Mr. Morrow who was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico in 1920, was a second-generation New Mexican. The families of his parents, the late Beulah E. Findley (Morrow) and Clinto H. Morrow, were pioneer homesteaders from respectively, Capulin in Union County and Serafina, near Starvation Peak at the east end of Glorieta Pass. Mr. Morrow graduated from Albuquerque High School and the University of New Mexico, and served with distinction as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII, despite a severe and disabling eye injury suffered in childhood. He was elected Judge of the Albuquerque Police Court (the predecessor of today's Metro court) in 1950, where he was widely respected for his even-handed and through application of the law. He also served the citizens of Bernalillo County as a State Representative from 1954 to 1956. Mr. Morrow was a lifelong and enthusiastic Democrat. Possessed of a restless and penetrating intellect, a remarkable memory, and multiple, broad interests, the colorful career of his middle years included work in insurance, real estate, and the retail grocery business. Returning to the University of New Meico in the early 1970s, Mr. Morrow earned a master's degree in Psychology and Guidance and counseling and subsequently became Area Superviso ro fat New Mexico Office of Vocational Rehabilitation for the eastern half of the state, a position he held until his retirement in 1979. He was an avid student of Roman and Carthaginian as well as Southwest history. Hew as also a tournament winning golfer, and expert snooker player, and a woodcarver of extraordinary talent and accomplishment. Survivors include Hazel B. Morrow, his loving and devoted wife of over 49 years; daughters, Rosalind Anderson and Julia M. Huchmala and husband John of Albuquerque; sons, Thomas F. Morrow and wife, Sherry of Lynn Haven, FL, and Baker H. Morrow and wife, JoAnn Strathman of Albuquqerque[ grandsons [sic], Clinton Anderson, John M. Huchmala, and Matthew Huchmala of Albuquerque, and Philip Morrow of Florida; granddaughters Lauren Anderson, Marian Anderson, and Susan Morrow of Albuquerque, and Kendra Morrow of Florida; sister, Betty Ruth Morrow of San Patricio, NM; Aunts, Fay Hays of Las Vegas, NM, Lois Findley of Albuquerque, and Jessie Morrow of Ephraim, UT; in-laws, Mrs. Thelma Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Johnson of Rocky Ford, CO, Mr. and Mrs. Les Baker and Mr. and Mrs. Virgin Stormo all of Albuquerque; cousin, Bill Chandler and wife, Veda of Albuquerque and numerous other good friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was much-loved and his wise counsel will be sorely missed. Private graveside services were held at Sunset Memorial Park with John D. Ratliff, officiating. Pallbearers were Philip Morrow, John M. Huchmala, Matthew A. Huchmala, Clinton L. Anderson, Robert Baker and Michael R. Baker. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at the Alumni Memorial Chapel, University of New Mexico, with Rev. Ted Roberts, officiating.
