  	Obituary: "Mrs. Leona B. Herd Mrs. Leona B. Herd, 68, Kansas City, Kan.m died Monday at the home. Mrs. Herd was born in Mountain View, Mo., and moved to this area in 1961. She leaves three sons, Alfred C. Herd and William A. Gray of Kansas City and Larry A. Herd, Kansas City, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. Maxine Brewster, Redding, Calif., Mrs. Cleo E. Williams, Independence, Mrs. Norma Lee Harper, Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Carmen I. Justice, Kansas City, Kan,; a brother Ray L. Smith, Lawndale, Calif.; seven sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Dolt, Mrs. Ruby Darlene Cloud, Mrs. Lois Carey, Mrs. Fay Florence Brooks and Mrs. Wanda Lee Aschenbrener of Los Angeles, Mrs. Joyce Lyle, St. James, Mo., and Mrs. Lora Jane Wilson, Brunswick, Md.' 26 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Butler Chapel, 22, S. 18th St. Kansas City Kan,; burial in Chapel Hill Cememtery [sic]. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel."

  Ancestry.com tree indicates that Leona's first husband Willie Delbert Gray did not die until 1996, so they were apparently divorced prior to her remarriage to Alfred Herd. Leona herself is said to have died on 29 September 1986, and her husband Alfred Herd to die in 1981.
