    Married Abt 1934  [1, 2
    • The 1940 census offers no data on the length of the marriage, but an analysis of the census household suggests that the couple has with them 2 Sizemore daughters from Edna's previous marriage, and a 5-year-old Mary Jane Abbott who is likely the child of the new wife. There was a 5-year gap after the youngest Sizemore daughter (age 10). Technically they should have been listed as step-daughters.

Additionally, data on his FindAGrave site states that "Brownie Lee" was his step-daughter.

With the middle initial of "V" it is tempting to think that Edna V. Abbott was Nellie V. Abbott, just an error in recording. However, her age, the presence of step daughters, and many other factors make it clear that this was a third wife.
