    • Probably in Dickson County, where there are few extant marriage records from the period. They have only one child in the 1820 census, so were likely married around 1818.

    • RESEARCH NOTES
William Johnson lived next to a Samuel King in 1820, lived near two other King families, and witnessed a Samuel King-George H. Walker deed in 1824.

William Johnson appears in the 1820 census, with one daughter under 10. He and his apparent wife are 16-26, indicating birth between 1794-1804, probably toward the earliest end of that spectrum.

A William Johnson married Eliza Nichols King in 1840 Dickson Co. It was her second marriage, having first married Phillip May, the son of William May and Hannah Jarman. It is not clear which William Johnson this is.
