Funeral for Jessie Lee ohlhausen, 93, of Tr. 3, Abilene, longtime area resident, was to be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the 15th and VineStreet Church of Christ.
Dr. Paul Witt, former head of the chemistry department at Abilene Christian College, was to officiate. Burial was to be in Caps Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Warren Funeral Home.
Mr. Ohlhausen died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday at Cox MemorialHospital after a three-week illness.
Born Jan. 18, 1876, in Mason County, he married Lillie Evelyn Holloway Oct. 12, 1898, in Mason. She died in 1916. he was a gunner, a stone mason and a farmer.
Survivors include four sons, Vernis of Rt. #, Abilene, Dr. Orlan of Sweetwater, Tommy of Fort Worth and Dr. Lester of Ballinger; three daughters, Miss Lola of the home, Miss Flossie of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Eula Rippy of Rt. 3, Abilene; one sister, Mrs. Ella Slaughter of Pontotoc, Tex.? 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild
The family asks that any remembrances be sent to the Heart Fund or to a church benevolence fund.
Pallbearers were to be Dean Leland and Winston Ohlhausen, Dale Osilien, Lee Holloway and Junior McCarty." |
