  • Notes
    • Reasearch NotesA courthouse fire consumed marriage records in Hickman County prior to 1866. Sarah is generally believed to have married Daniel Lindsey Brown prior to 1852. Brown was the son of the 13th Governor of Tennessee, Gov. Neal Smith Brown.

Some people believe that the daughter listed as "Sarah" may have been the same person as the "Martha" who appears in Alexander Clark's home in the 1850 census, but is not seen afterward.

Sarah is generally believed to have died about 1866, and her four attributed children are:
William J. "Buck" Brown-may have ridden with Jesse James, Cole Younger, etc
      Jenny Brown, m. Claud Plunkett
A.C Brown, b abt 1858, no further info
      Cheatham Easley Brown, b. 1865, d. 1945 Hickman Co
