  	From the Wichita Beacon: \"Miss Ilion Beard, daughter of Mrs Deborah Beard, died at the home of Mr. Jesse Garret last evening at half past seven o\'clock. She had been sick for several weeks with hemorrhage of the lungs and quick consumption. Up to within a few hours of her death her friends believed that she was recovering and fondly anticipated her complete recovery. The remains will be shipped to Osage county where her mother now lives. She was about twenty-one years old. After life\'s fitful fever she sleeps well.\"
