    "Patrick L. Farmer

    Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Edward Holman & Son mortuary for Patrick L. Farmer, 52, injured fatally Saturday night when he was struck by a car near Canby.

    A resident of Portland most of his life, Mr. Farmer lived here at 706 N.E. Holiday street. He was a veteran of world war I and a member of Navy post No. 91, American Legion.

    Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Clara J. Farmer; three daughters [sic], Miss Glennis Jeanette Farmer and Mrs. Ruth Grigar of Portland and Mrs. Nadine Wood of San Antonio, Tex., and one granddaughter.

    The services will be followed by burial in Lincoln Memorial cemetery.\"

    \"CLARA JANE FARMER

    A memorial service for Clara Jane Farmer, a Northeast Portland resident, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Apostolic Faith Church. Private interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park.

    Mrs. Farmer died of causes related to age Saturday in a Portland foster care center. She was 96.

    She was born June 1, 1896, in Lebanon, Mo. She moved to Portland from Missouri in 1918. Mrs. Farmer worked as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital & Medical Center for more than 20 years. She also owned and operated several Portland-area nursing homes. Mrs. Farmer had been a member of the Apostolic Faith Church for more than 70 years. Her husband, Patrick Farmer, died in 1946.

    Mrs. Farmer is survived by a daughter, Glennis Henry of Portland; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Her daughters, Nadine Wood and Ruth Grigal, preceded her in death.\"
