\"Lloyd Dwight Dugger
Missoula ? Lloyd Dwight Dugger, 79, passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2005. He was born on June 6, 1925 in Springfield, Mo., to Harry Jefferson Dugger and Jessie Ellen Dugger.
Lloyd joined the u.S. Navy in 1943, spending active and inactive duty through 1972. He is a World War II and Vietnam veteran. While still on active duty, Lloyd married Dorothy Olsen in 1944.
He has made Montana his home for over 50 years. Lloyd has owned restaurants, done iron work, but most of his life was spent doing what he loved do [sic], pursuing a career in the country music field.
He had a distinguished reputation in the country music business and was recognized by his peers as \"The Chaplain of Country Music.\" He served the Lord as an evangelist in winning and comforting many souls along the way.
He notably worked with the T. Texas band and recorded several hits, including \"Bumming Around\" and \"Deck of Cards.\"
He is survived by two daughters and one son, Sheila Wisher of Missoula, Kandee Pierce of Spokane, Wash. and Monty Dugger, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Wednesday at 1 p.m. Viewing will be Tuesday from 3-7 pm.m and Wednesday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
