	The Pulaski Citizen [no date stated]: "JOE TIDWELL [Funeral services for Joe Johnson Tidwell, 67, local carpenter, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Bennett-May Funeral Home, conducted by Gilbert E. Shaffer and Tommy Vernon, Church of Christ ministers. Burial took place in Maplewood Cemetery. Mr. Tidwell died unexpectedly on Monday morning, March 19, at his home. #Born January 14, 1895, in Giles County, he was the son of the late Charlie Tidwell and Harriet Wiley Tidwell. He was a member of the Second Street Church of Christ. #Mr. Tidwell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Pillow Tidwell; five sons, Joe Henry Tidwell, Modesto, Calif., Selvin Tidwell, Sam Tidwell and Jimmy Tidwell, Pulaski, and Harold Tidwell, Madison; six daughters, Mrs. Otha Dunnavant, Mrs. Lee Davis and Miss Mabel Tidwell, Pulaski, Mrs. Edward Michalik, Willow Springs, Ill., Mrs. Horace Pardon, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Edward Ursiny, San Jose, Calif.; several grandchildren and three great-grand-children; and one sister, Mrs. Emma Gower, Pulaski. #Bennett-May and Company in charge of arrangements.]"
