    Lynn Hodge Campbell
    Lynn Hodge Campbell, 67, of Colorado Springs died of cancer Sunday in Hospice House.

    He was a civil service civil engineer at Peterson Air Force Base and the Air Force Academy.

    Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 21st Street and Colorado Avenue, with the Rev. Leo R. Horrigan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

    Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St.

    Mr. Campbelll was born July 2, 1919, in Simla to John C. and Therssie (Gardner) Campbell. He lived in Colorado Springs 65 years. Mr. Campbell graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1938. He served in the Army Air Corps between 1942 and 1945 with the rank of technical sergeant. Mr. Campbell received the Air Medal.

    Mr. Campbell was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, where he taught religion classes for 10 years and CCD classes for Junior high school students. He was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order, where he served as Brother Francis Michael. Mr. Campbell also was a lay Eucharistic minister.
    Mr. Campbell was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Zebulon Pike Chapter 101, a member of VFW Post 4051, a volunteer with Care and Share and a member of the Colorado Springs Boys Club, where he was instrumental in starting the first basketball team for blacks in the community.

    He was married Sept. 21, 1940, in St. Mary's Cathedral to Florence M. Foster, who survives.

    Other survivors are a son, Lynn John of Loveland; a daughter, Betty Ann Heiser of Colorado Springs; a sister, Louise Kerns of Denver, and seven grandchildren.

    A brother, Dale Gardner Campbell, and a sister, Vivian Deyo, preceded him in death.
