  Narrative	From a granddaughter, posted on FindAGrave, no attribution: "Connie was born to the late Laura Ruth McMurtry Megee and Wiley Buchanon Megee in Chandler, Oklahoma. My grandma Connie spent her life in Broken Arrow where she attended Elm Grove School and graduated from Broken Arrow High School. She was married to Orbie Emerson on November 8, 1952 and they were happily married for 51 years before Orbie's death in 2004. My grandma attended Hillcrest Nursing School and worked as a nurse at the Broken Arrow Hospital and later at St. Francis before her retirement in 1983. Connie was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow. Connie will be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was always there when anyone was in need. She went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 after a brave battle with her illness. She leaves behind her son(my dad), a daughter in law, a daughter and a son in law, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Orbie, and 3 sisters and 3 brothers."
