  	The Daily Oklahoman: "DeBOARD John Calvin, of Okla. City, passed away Oct. 23, 1999. Born to John Calvin DeBoard and Zora Mae Clay DeBoard, August 7, 1924 at Kingston, Oklahoma; he was 75 years old. John married Betty Lou Copeland in Oklahoma City, December 23, 1957. Mr. DeBoard was a member of Shields Baptist Church, UAW, the AARP and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a volunteer at the Veteran's Hospital. He enjoyed listening to gospel music, watching sports, especially basketball, and traveling His first love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; daughter, Susan Girard of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; son, Michael David DeBoard of Enid, Oklahoma; sisters, Iva Mae Welch of Wichita Falls, Texas, Virginia Mason of Madill, Oklahoma and Willodean Peden of Ravia, Oklahoma; & 4 grandchildren. His son, Gene Carlus Chapman preceded him in death. Services were held at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore at 11:30 a.m., Wed., October 27, 1999. Pastor Leon Girard officiated. Interment followed at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City. John Ireland Funeral Home 120 S. Broadway Moore, OK 799-1200"
