  	Rock Island Argus: "Obituary: Samuel Ramsey Samuel Ramsey, an old resident of Rural township, died at his home yesterday afternoon of the infirmities of age. He was born in Ireland, July 1825, coming to this country when a young man. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Gilmor [sic] of Long Grove, Iowa, and of the nine children resulting from this union seven survive, Mrs. John Palmer of Milan, Mrs. Elizabeth Tindell, Cushing, Iowa, Mrs. Otto Volk, Preemption, Samuel and John Ramsey, North Dakota, Isaac, Cushing, Iowa, and William of Rural township. The funeral will be held from the home tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock, burial taking pace at the Preemption cemetery."
