He was born August 30, 1917 in Armstrong Springs, Arkansas, a son of G.R. "Bob" Butler and Trudy Gilreath Butler. He was the widower of Dorothy Ward Butler, former co-owner with his brother, R.H. "Sloke" Butler of Butler Bros. Trucking Company, Elder, and Sunday School Treasurer of First Presbyterian Church of Morrilton. He is survived by his daughters, Anne Dixon of Morrilton, and Jane Judkins and Husband, David of White Hall; one brother, Joe Butler of Searcy; grandsons, Doug Dixon and Kyle Judkins and wife, Kendra; granddaughters, Kimberly Dixon and Heather Judkins. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Frank LeBlanc officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 105 W. Church St., Morrilton, AR 72110."
