    • Obituary: "Frank Stidham,son of William P.Stidham and grandson of Mrs.Jane Atchely,died Friday,Aug.17,in the home of his father,in the Candock neighborhood,of miner's consumption. His had been in failing health for the last year.He came to his old home for a visit,but took a sudden turn for the worse and passed into the after life. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the father's home,with Rev.Tom McVay officiating.Interment was in Atchley Cemetery. Frank Stidham was born Sep, 30 1885,in the Candock neighborhood,Laclede county,where he lived until age 20,when he moved to Joplin.There he met and married Bessie Wilson,who with two children, Wilma,7yrs and Ernest,5yrs,survive him. His youngest child,Clarence, two years old,accidently drowned at their home in Joplin,about two weeks ago.     • Obituary: From her FindAGrave page: "Wilma Stidham, daughter of Frank and Bessie Stidham was born at Carterville, Mo., July 2, 1910. She came to Mound City Kansas with her mother and young brother in 1917, after the death of her father, where she lived until 6 months prior to her death. She graduated from Mound City High School in 1929. She was converted to Christ at a very early age and lived a devoted Christian life. Her main goal in life was to work with young people, of whom she led to Christ. She was married to John Franklin (Frank) Priest in July of 1931. To this union two daughters were born. Waneta Williams of Kansas City, Mo.; and Martha Dean Frost of San Jose, Calif. There are four grandchildren, Lu Wana and Paul Martin, Michael and Scotty Frost. She leaves to mourn her loss her devoted husband, Frank, her two daughters, her mother, Mrs. Bessie Martin of Mound City; one brother, Ernest Stidham of Blackwell, Oklahoma; one step brother, John Martin, Mound City, Kansas; three step-sisters, Margaret Dunsworth, of Mound City, Kansas; Alberta Wheelock, Pleasanton, Kansas; Elza Coulter, Council Bluffs, Iowa; two Aunts, Ella Melendy, Kansas City, Kansas; Minnie Cavin, Lebanon, Mo., and one Uncle John Stidham, Galnea, Kansas and a host of friends. Funeral services were held in Hardy, Arkansas, Wednesday, December 18. Those making the trip to Hardy, Arkansas, where they attended the funeral services of Mrs. Frank Priest Wednesday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. John Dunsworth, of Mound City; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Wheelock, Mark Ellis, Waldo Cox, Waldon Cox, of Pleasanton; Mrs. Henry Coulter, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Sam Priest, Glenn Gregg, Blue Mound; and Roy Detwiler of Mound City.
