    • Nelson WALKER is said to have divorced Elizabeth WALKER. He loaded all of her belongings into a wagon, drove her to Dickson County, got out of the wagon and paid someone to drive her into town, deserting her and her children with no means of support. He was a drunk, and abusive. [2]

      Walker, Elizabeth - Divorce petition was made 2 May 1839 from Nelson Walker. They were married in 1808 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. About 1826 he became a drunkard and abused Elizabeth. About 1837 he deserted her and lived in adultry [sic] with Rebecca Boland. He now lives in Smith County, Tennessee. The divorce was granted 17 June 1840.
