Elvira/Almira/Elena Clark

• Name	Elvira/Almira/Elena Clark  [1, 2]
  	Through position in the family (just older than Joseph), and the similarity in name (Elena or Almira), and the close age, I think Elena from the 1850 and Almira from the 1860 were probably the same young woman. Also seen on Ancestry as "Elmira." It is not unusual that 10 years later, she (or her mother) would represent her as a little younger. Mary Kitchell, DNA match to Lu DeBoard Walker and Janis Walker Gilmore, states that Almira never married, though she had several children, all of whom carried the surname Clark--including her ancestor Joe Douglas Clark. An Ancestry tree, "The Viola Greenwood Heritage," posted by Elma Gacho Greenwood, names Joe Douglas Clark's mother as "Elvira Clark," parentage not given. She lists his father as Stephen Decatur Burton. Records elsewhere clearly reflect that Stephen Decatur Burton was married to another woman. Possibly Elvira/Almira had a long-term relationship with a married man, and several children with him? Possible male descendant of Burton and one of "Almira" could determine this?
