Despite what the Wannamaker document says, it appears to me that Harriet died the year after her marriage to Evan Williams, possibly in childbirth. An Evan Williams married in 1856, also in Cherokee County--likely the same man in a second marriage. The 1860 census reflects an Evan Williams with a son Evan Williams of the right age. |
