	The Laclede County Republican: Several Parties Given During Past Week: Honors to Mr. and Mrs. Watson and Mrs. Schneider [Excerpt] Miss Ocean Hood very charmingly entertained last Thursday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Arthur W. Schneider, a recent bride. The guest list included forty intimate friends of the bride, each bringing a gift for her. The afternoon was spent in sewing, after which the shower of gifts was placed in "the covered wagon." This minature [sic] wagon was drawn by little Miss Body Ploger, who was dressed to represent a witch. Dolls to represent the bride and groom were seated in the wagon and place cards on the two sides stated their destination. The miscellaneous shower was a complete surprise to Mrs. Schneider. The hostess, assisted by Miss Ruth McMillen and Mrs. Ray Butts, served creamed tuna, olives, potato chips, nut bread sandwiches, flakes, angel food and devil's food cake and coffee."

	The Springfield News-Leader: "Mrs. Lourean Schneider LEBANON -- Services for Mrs. Lourean Schneider, 81, Lebanon, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Colonial. Mrs. Schneider died at 8L45 p.m. Wednesday in Maranath Manor, Springfield, after a long illness. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Melba Esther, Pleasant Hope, and Mrs. Berniece Hamilton and Mrs. Bernita Shamel, both of Lebanon, a brother, Joe Wood, Council Bluffs, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Bermiece Gilmore, Lebanon; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There will be Eastern Star services at 7:30 tonight in the [illegible word]"
