  	The Daily News: "Two bandits pistol-whip station man Two brutal bandits pistol-whipped a 58-year-old gas station attendant today and robbed the victim of #200. The man, Roley DeBoard, 756 South Gearhart street, East Los Angeles, aid the two gunmen held him up at the station where he works at 500 South Atlantic boulevard. After he gave them all the money he had in his pocket, DeBoard said, one of the men smashed him on the side of the head with a revolver threatening to "blow your head off if you don't tell us where the rest is." DeBoard reached into a secret hiding place and pulled out a bagful of money. Then he was struck again on the back of the head and knocked unconscious. He was treated at Angeles Emergency hospital."
