- [S31] Crowder, Faithy Jane - Death Certif (1915), (Faithy Jane Smith, death certificate no. 58, Lawrence County, Tennessee (1915), Tennessee Vital Records, Nashville, Tennessee).
Of Faithy Jane Crowder Smith states that Faithy Jane's mother was unknown CHILDERS. Informant was Faithy Jane's son, Marvin Smith, who apparently could only recall the surname.
- [S408] Tennessee, Giles - census 1830 (Ancestry), Tennessee, Giles, (http://www.ancestry.com: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.).
Faithy Jane Crowder was born abt 1827, and would have been about 3 in the 1830 census. Faithy's death certificate states her mother's name as "Childress." Additionally, some of the children are so much older than Faithy, it seems reasonable to believe that Unknown Childress was her mother, and the wife who appears in the 1830 census. Since she was between 40 and 50 in this census, she would have been born between 1780 and 1790.
