They then moved ack to Mtn. View, where life was still hard for a long time. They cooked outside in the snow because there was no cookstove. Herscel hunted and cut wood for a living to proved for his family. In 1942, they went to Washington (during WWII). About 1943 or 44, they went to Michigan and worked for awhile whee Herscel's sister Ellen lived. After a short time they retirned and lived near Mtn.
