  I believe it is very likely that the "John De Board" reflected in the 1870 Cross Co ARK Mortality Schedule is the John DeBoard who was the father of Iva Gerome DeBoard, and the husband of Emily Summers. Supporting this belief: 1. John DeBoard was known to be living in Arkansas at the time of the 1860 census 2. DeBoard is an unusual surname 3. The John De Board enumerated in the mortality schedule was born in North Carolina There is an age discrepancy - our John DeBoard should have been closer to 62 that 52 - the original film should be checked for a clear reading of his age.
