State of Tenessee, Dickson County Registers Office March 27 1823 Then was the within Deed of Gifts duly Registered in Book C, page 452. Molton, Dickson Register

Know all men by these presents that I Elizabeth Walker of the County and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the [illegible word] love ad Effection with leave unto my beloved son Elijah Walker and also for divers good Causes and Considertion. I the said Elizabeth Walker have given granted and confirmed and by these presents do give grant and confirm unto the said Elijah Walker one Negro Girl named Ailee a Slave for life to have and to hold unto the said Elijah Walker his Executors Administrators and Assigns to the only proper use & Benefits of him the said Elijah Walker. I the said Elizabeth Walker do give grant & confirm unto the aforesaid Elijah Walker the said Negro Girl against me the said Elizabeth Walker my heirs and assigns and each and every person or persons whatsoever shall [warrant?] and forever defend. If the said Negroe Girl should have children, the first living child is to go to Polly Bazzel to her use & benefits her heirs. The second living child to Elizabeth Heartly her Heirs. The third to Retha Turner her heirs. If the said Girl should have more than three children the aforesaid Elijah Walker is to have all her increase after giving to the three sisters as before stated. In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Walker have hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of January 1823 in presence of Laura Byrn George H. Walker
