  Text	In some information from Crittenden Co., KY I received last year it stated that Pleasant Hill (Primitive Baptist) Church in Crittenden Co., KY has always had pastors of its own membership and that at one time there were four.€ She listed the four and among them were J. L. Clark and J. R. Clark. J. R. was James Riley the son of Bird Lewis Clark.. I asked the question was J. L. Clark John Lawson but received no answer. If Bailey Creek and New Providence Osage Co., MO are Primitive Baptist I think I have the answer. The same source said that the four ministers would ride circuit back to Smith Co., TN to preach at other Primitive Baptist churches. I haven't seen any reference to John Lawson in Crittenden Co. other than this. This James Riley would be a nephew of John Lawson. Was John Lawson an elder in one or both churches? [And] "My family comes down from Thomas Anderson Clark, an older brother of John Lawson Clark. Thomas Anderson Clark stayed in Smith County, Tn.€ I still have family there. It looks like out of 13 siblings, only Thomas Anderson Clark remained in Smith Co." Anderson Clark remained in Smith Co. There were only 3 families of Clarks that were enumerated in the Census of 1820. James Clark pg. 47, Robert Clark pg. 47, and Leonard Clark pg.50. I copied this information back in 1985 but I didn't list their families. If anyone has this information I would certainly appreciate having a copy of it. I know that Leonard is my proginator and that his wife was named Anna (?). He arrived in Smith County in 1818/1819. He had 13 children, 11 sons and 2 daughters. I can account for 6 sons and possibly one daughter. I understand the family migrated from Halifax Co.,Va. Will share the information I have with anyone who will share theirs.
