  •  Notes
    • Neal Walker did not move away from Mountain View as a child. He was, however, younger than 22 when he first went out to Oklahoma to make a start. Possibly the fact that he was a "young man" when he moved to Oklahoma became confused with being "a child."
It came as a surprise to see in the obituary that he married "Mary Crowder." We had always known her to be Mary Polk. Further investigation on this point has revealed that Mary was previously married to a man named FULLER - but the CROWDER remains a mystery. Possibly whoever wrote the obituary was confused about the fact that his mother was a Crowder.
