  •  Notes
    • In possession of my father, William D. Walker. This Bible, copyright 1869, may not have belonged originally to James Boyd Campbell, who was born in 1871. It is unlikely to be his father's Bible, because he was not a church-going man. It may have been from his wife's family, Lucy Westley (DeBoard) Campbell, the daughter of Iva G. DeBoard and Martha Louisa (Davis) Allen Campbell. However, the designated family pages contain family data regarding the Campbell family, whereas the DeBoard family only has recorded data on a blank page following the New Testament title page. It is conceivable that the Bible belonged to his mother, Nancy Marie (Smith) Campbell.
