    Short Title Clifford Fields Dies At 64; Well Known Barber Clifford Fields, 64, a well known Mt. Vernon barber died at 10:00 o\'clock last night at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Fields, who resided at 226 north Fourth street, had been in failing health for a long time. Years ago he served as a Mt. Vernon alderman and at one time was in the real estate business here. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Logan Street Baptist church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Frank Trotter and the Rev. Ernest Standerfer will officiate. His many friends may call at Myers Chapel after 5:00 p.m. Thursday. At noon Friday the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour. Mr Fields was born August 1, 1905 in Hamilton county, the son of Edward and Della (Stull) Fields. In May, 1925 he was married in Mt. Vernon, to Mabel E. Standerfer, who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Clifford Ray Fields of Mt. Vernon; two daughters Mrs. Patricia Humphires [sic] of Tulsa, Okla., and Becky Fields of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Clyde Fields of New Orleans and Earl Fields of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Nalley of Bellflower, Calif.; a half brother, Harold Harper of Mt. Vernon; a half sister, Dorothy Crooks of Flint, Mich., and seven grandchildren.
