    Text January the 25 1875 My dear sister and Brother I shall try to rite some one [?]. We are all well at this time But I have ben sick fore quite a long time and our dear mother is gone to her long home in heven. She took sick the 15 of December and died the 30. She had too strokes of [several illegible words] first Dunday nite then she was [?] in her right [side?] then she was not sick any more untill Thurs and then she did not [know?] any thing more. The last stroke took the left side she was of [father's?] Mother's age was 66 years 8 months 17 days. We got a letter from A.D. [Adeline D. CUNNINGHAM BURNHAM] she feels awful bad to think she couldn't come but [so it is we can get together?]. It scared Opal to think as good a mother as we had and could not be with her in last hour but she would not of knowed eny of her childen if they could of come. I will send you a peace of of her shroud and hare too keep. and so I must stope hope this will find you all well and God help you all. G.W. Cunningham Rite soon. [written sidewise at the top of both sides of paper] the white is a peace of her [cape?] the black shroud. Good nite. I am going to send tp AD for a copy of mother's pictures and if you have not got one let me know. I got your two letters get but they come when I was sick or I would of answered them. But I hope to be able to answer all the letters here after. I hope this will find you.
