  Indexed on Ancestry.com as "Jacob R. Melder"; alternate name submitted by someone of "Jacob R. Miller." It is, however, certainly the same Jacob R. Walker who appeared in the 1900 Izard County, Arkansas, census. His age and birthplace support this, as does his wife's name, and his son's name and age (Oscar, 15). As with the 1900 Izard Co Census, it is not certain that this is the same Jacob Walker who was the son of Elijah Walker of Dickson Coumty, Tennessee; see comments attached to 1900 census for points supporting the argument.
