  Text	Hello, I too am researching the ancestors and descendants of Joseph H. Clark, b. 1745 in Halifax Co., VA. I located your Web site via Google search and through your post on the Wilson Co. TN mailing list. The Clark line is part of my wife's ancestry, she being descended from Joseph's g-g-grandson Benjamin Clark (1860), married to Mary Jane Farrabee. (The Linn Co. Missouri Clarks). The DAR has Thomas Clark as Joseph's father and Phoebe Housen as the mother. However, that lineage record is flagged and we're checking into the reason why - probably a question about the patriotic service documentation and not the lineage. Alternately, the "consensus" of the World Family Tree has Leonard Clark as Joseph's father but, of course, no sources to substantiate this. Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated. This is for her DAR application so of course gathering source data is the challenge we face.
